Stop turning down good work.
A job lands sixty miles outside your patch. Refuse it and you cannot cover your own customer. Take it and you lose the day. Put it to another erector on the system instead: they do the work, the boards and the completion come back to you, and the agent stays yours.
No other board system can do this, and it is not because nobody thought of it.
- Part of the system
- Off until you switch it on
- Your coverage is never published
Every other system is one business on its own
Board software is normally installed per company: your data, your screens, nobody else's. That is fine until the day you need somebody. There is no way for one of those installs to see another, so there is nothing to pass work to. Board Clever is one system that every customer runs their own part of, which is what makes the other side of the fence reachable at all.

1
You offer the job
The address, the work, the window and what it pays. It goes to the members whose areas cover it and to nobody else, so you are not broadcasting your work to the trade.
-
2
One of them takes it
They see the job and the money. They never see whose customer it is: no part of an offer names your client, because you are handing work to a competitor and that is the one fact you cannot give away.
-
3
It lands back on your order
The boards, the stock movement and the completion come back onto the order you raised, so your customer is dealing with you throughout and your invoice is the one they get.
What it never does
Nothing about this is done behind your back
Your client is never named
An offer carries the address, the job and the price. It does not carry who instructed it, and there is nowhere for that to be recorded even if somebody wanted to. The erector doing the work cannot go round you afterwards, because they do not know who to go round you to.
Your coverage is never published
Where you work is the commercially sensitive fact, so there is no directory and no map of who covers what. Your areas are read when a job needs matching and are never shown to anybody as a list.
Nothing is offered on your behalf
You decide what goes out and you decide what you take. Work is never passed to you automatically and never passed from you automatically, and turning an offer down costs you nothing.
The Network is free to join. It is part of the system rather than something else to buy, and it stays switched off until you decide otherwise.
The questions everybody asks first
- Whose boards go up?
- Either. You send yours over, or the erector doing the work supplies from their own stock and you settle it in the price. Both are normal, both are recorded, and the stock movement lands on your books either way rather than going missing for a fortnight.
- What if they do it badly?
- The completion comes back onto your order with the same record as work your own driver did, so you can see what was done and when. You choose who you offer to, and you are not obliged to offer to anybody twice.
- Can I only receive, not give?
- Yes. Plenty of members will take overflow long before they have any of their own to pass on, and there is no requirement to do both. Taking work is how most people start.
- What happens if we fall out?
- Ending a link between two businesses never deletes what passed between them. The history of the work outlives the arrangement, which matters far more the year after than it does on the day.
Work coming towards you, as well as out
Estate agents come to us looking for somebody to cover their branches, and we put those areas to the erectors who work them. An introduction costs nothing, there is no commission on what follows, and nobody is named to an agent before they have said they want the work.
Try it on next week's work
Set yourself up in about a minute and put a real week through it. The Network is there when you want it and off until then, so nothing changes about how you work until you decide it should.
